CSI LAWYER 11.0 HAS BEEN PUBLISHED
9. November, 2022 | Version UpdatesCSI Lawyer version 11.0 has been published. It is now available for customers downloading their software updates from the web. Customers needing an update package can schedule the update with CSI.
The new features are described in the “CSI Lawyer version 11.0 – Change document” (Instructions). The change document and update instructions have also been sent to the power users of CSI Lawyer customers downloading their update packages from the web.
Among the new the features are the following:
Terminology changes
- NOTE! The term “Assignment” has been replaced with the shorter and more commonly used term “Matter”.
- The ”Assistant” user type has been renamed to ”Restricted user”, which better describes the role of the user type and also eliminates confusions with the matter specific responsibility role Assistant.
Management and invoicing of sub-matters
In case your office utilized the main/sub-matter structure:
- Sub-matters can now be numbered according to the main matter
- Role prices attached to main matters can be copied to sub-matters
- Transactions and expenses of sub-matters to be invoiced through their main matter are now displayed also in the main matter information
- For main and sub-matter invoicing the software creates sub preliminary invoices which can be verified separately
- On invoices created from the main matter it is possible to print a specification which lists the invoice rows by main and sub-matters.
Pricing-related improvements
- The report that lists customer prices now also includes the discounts defined for customers and information on their source
- So far it has been possible to attach role price lists only to customers, but now the role price lists can also be attached to individual matters.
Invoicing-related improvements
- When making a price adjustment on a preliminary invoice or invoice, the user is requested to enter a reason for the price adjustment to make it easier to check the reason afterwards
- Invoice attachments can be sent to Maventa with e-invoices, and included in the invoice material created from invoices in CSI Lawyer
- Previewing e-invoices before sending them can be set mandatory to ensure that the invoice specification is sent to the customer as desired.
Improvements to user access rights
- To speed up the use of the software, power users can now attach reports and views as user group-specific quick selections for members of the group to open them directly from CSI Lawyer’s top bar
- The right to add expenses to the software or to export data to Excel can be restricted to a specific user group only.
