CSI Lawyer 12.0 update package 22.5.24

We’ll release today a new update package for CSI Lawyer 12.0. The update package will fix the following software defects:

General

• The tree structure for filtering list dates was broken in the 12.0 version update.

Customers

• In the Customers area, Customer Identifications folder, the Check Identifications function created a completely new identification event with the status “Started”, even though it was supposed to update the existing identification event from “Not Started” to “Started”.
• The power user was unable to create new customer identification views so that they would have appeared in the “Customer identifications” folder under the matter, the matter request or the corporate or private customer.

Matters

• A note attached to a matter could not be edited, even when the user was the matter owner or belonged to the extended rights group. After correction, the matter owner, responsible person, assistant and invoicing contact person, as well as users belonging to the group of extended access rights are always allowed to edit and delete matter related notes, also when a) matter editing is limited to a certain user group to which the user does not belong, b) when the user is a normal user, or c) when the note is added by someone else. The fix affects all notes added to the software.
• In certain situations, the data deletion run for matters and customers was unable to delete invoices and/or invoice rows.

Entries

• When moving a transaction from one matter to another, no matter was found in the “Move transaction” window when the destination matter number was entered in the Matter field and the Enter button clicked, unless the matter belonged to the same principal. After the correction, matters of other principals can also be found with the matter number entered in the field.

Invoices

• The invoice sending failed in certain situations, leaving the invoice status “Open” and its Sent Date field blank although the invoice notes still contained a copy of the sent invoice. A check has now been added to the software to prevent similar problems.
• Deleting a payment reminder template in the user interface did not actually delete the template which remained in the database.

Customizations

• View reminders by email didn’t work if the view’s search criteria contained custom fields.
• When both a general customization (without type selection) and a customization related to a matter/activity type were made to the matter or activity window, the first mentioned customization was lost.

Integrations

• The language translations were missing from the general parameters window for bookkeeping integrations.
