CSI Lawyer 12.1 update package 11.12.24

The new update package for CSI Lawyer 12.1 has been released. The update package fixes the following software defects:

User rights

• Restricted users, for whom the Customers area was set to visible in the navigation permissions, could see all customers, even though they did not have rights to that customer’s information through their role.

Matters

• The “Matters Until the End of the Previous Invoicing Period” view showed zero for transactions and expenses whose date was the current day or earlier, if the invoicing period was not specified in the parameters or the parameter value was “Not in use”. After the correction, the matter appears in the view in question. The software shows the open amounts until the current day and the periodic invoicing function creates a preliminary invoice until the current day.

Invoices

• The “Exceptional VAT handling” of the matter locked the invoice, and no further changes could be made to it. After correction, it is possible to edit all other fields on the invoice except the Payer field.
• It was possible to send the payment request without filling in the mandatory Text field.

Integrations

• The ND integration was unable to transfer matter related documents to a new workspace (“matter folder”) when changing the principal in CSI, if the original Workspace was created by the ndLink program.
• When the NetDocuments integration was in use and the principal was changed in a protected matter, the user rights were not updated correctly.
• With the NetDocuments integration enabled, certain types of folders in NetDocuments caused an error when changing user rights of an insider matter.
• If the matter subject was edited when the matter was not yet in NetDocuments, an unnecessary error message was displayed.
• In a certain situation, the NetDocuments logging system was unable to log the error correctly.
• When changes were made to the responsibility roles of an unprotected matter, the CSI software unnecessarily updated the access rights to the document management system.

Reports

• The payment reminder printed on the invoice was not visible on the “Overdue invoices on review date” report.
