New CSI Lawyer 11.0 update package 14.12.22
14. December, 2022 | Version UpdatesWe’ll release a new update package for CSI Lawyer 11.0 today. The new version is already used by more than 120 CSI customers, so due to the security and functionality improvements it brings, we recommend the version update to all our customers still in older versions.
The update version fixes the following software defects:
- A warning triangle turned up for customer identifications if the identification was expiring within 30 days even if the matter was closed or the client had been inactivated. Now there is a new view, ‘Identifications for active matters’.
- When a user was creating in the software new information such as a new private person and added extra spaces after the personal ID or any other text field, the software did not remove the unnecessary spaces when the information was saved.
- When a customer was merged to another customer, the customer plan saved for the source customer was not transferred to the source customer.
- The field validator set to check the validity of the personal ID of private persons did not work; the software did not warn about personal IDs having an invalid format.
- If the Matter field was removed from the opportunity (as a customization) and a user then tried and change the customer of an existing opportunity, the software crashed, and the action failed.
- When a matter request was created, its language was incorrectly the user interface language and not the language defined for the customer.
- The error message displayed was unclear when a user defined permissions for a user group but the action was skipped for insider matters and closed matters.
- For transactions registered via the CSI Mobile and CSI MyDesk applications, the cost center field was left empty in case a cost center had been set for the matter, but it was missing from the author of the transaction.
- Even though translations were added to expense types, when adding expenses to a matter, the software displayed the expense type text incorrectly in the user interface language instead of using the language of the matter.
- When a user saved a proof invoice without selecting a matter for it, the action failed, and the software displayed an incorrect error message.
- When an approved preliminary invoice was returned as reviewed, the fields in the preliminary invoice payer window remain locked until a user closed the payer window and reopened it.
- If a user intentionally wrote free text on the invoice or preliminary invoice containing empty lines, the software removed empty lines both from the beginning and the end of the text.
- When a user printed as a PDF multiple invoices with their specification pages, the invoice totals of each invoice were printed in each specification page one below each other.
- Although the ‘Attach PDF to invoice material’ parameter was set not to be in use and there were no attachments in the invoice, the invoice material in an XML format contained an element which was related to the invoice attachments.
- When an invoice for an insurance company was printed as a PDF and, in the party details, an invoice for the deductible was set to be created simultaneously, the software did not check if the invoice for the deductible was to be printed but opened the invoice printing parameters window directly.
- When the power user updated a published list-type report by selecting the Download Reports button in the settings, the report did not remain published.
- When M-Files was integrated to CSI Lawyer and a user edited user access rights for multiple matters by right-clicking the mouse and selecting the Permissions action, the action failed, and the permissions were not updated in M-Files.
- When the bookkeeping integration was in use and a user cancelled an advance invoice, the date of the credit invoice which was transferred to bookkeeping was incorrectly the date of the original invoice and not the cancellation date.
- Translations of transaction and expense types were not deleted from the list although the Delete action seemed to be successful.
- When a power user deleted a translation for an expense type, the confirmation window incorrectly informed about deletion of an expense type instead of its translation.
- When a power user changed the column order of a mailing list view in the settings, the mailing list view incorrectly displayed all private persons instead of the actual mailing list members. After the fix, the mailing list views can no longer be edited in the settings but all changes are to be made directly in the view itself.
- When the user interface language for Windows differed from the software’s user interface language and a user visited the Parameters window, the software sometimes changed the user interface language.
- The action to add attachments to the notes was unclear as the Download Attachment button was not meant for adding new attachments but for downloading ones already saved to the notes. After the fix, the Download Attachments button is inactive if there are no attachments in the notes. In addition, the empty field reserved for the attachment name now contains a call to click the field in order to add an attachment.
